Before diving head first into the Level 100 Pikachu Tera Raid you will want to know what you are going up against. The Pikachu you face is Tera Type Water. Additionally you will want to know the Pokemon’s moveset. The Level 100 Pikachu you face has the following moves during the raid:

MoveDescription
Rain DanceThe user summons a heavy rain that falls for five turns, powering up Water-type attacks. The rain also lowers the power of Fire-type attacks.
SurfThe user attacks everything around it by swamping its surroundings with a giant wave.
ThunderA wicked thunderbolt is dropped on the target to inflict damage. This may also leave the target with paralysis.
Play RoughThe user attacks by playing rough with the target. This may also lower the target’s Attack stat.
Iron TailThe target is slammed with a steel-hard tail. This may also lower the target’s Defense stat.
Lighting Rod (Ability)The Pokemon draws in all Electric-type moves. Instead of taking damage from them, its Sp. Atk stat is boosted.
Light Ball (Item)An item to be held by Pikachu. It’s mysterious orb that boosts Pikachu’s Attach and Sp. Atk stats.

When the Pikachu Tera Raid event is active players can look for a Black Crystal Raid Dungeon on their map once per day. Additionally players can also join up online with either their friends or other trainers via the Poke Portal to take on Pikachu.

The current Tera Raid Pikachu offers some interesting coverage issues. The raid Pikachu deals Water, Electric, Iron, and Fairy type damage making it a bit hard to counter since it has a wide coverage on grass types that could face off against it.

Like other raids Pikachu drops items when it is caught/defeated. The items Pikachu can drop are high level Raid items and you get a lot of them. You will not get everything each time you complete the Tera Raid. There is a percentage chance drop rate for each item, which you can find over on Serebii. The list of things you can potentially get from this raid are as follows:

Once you’ve caught Pikachu once, you are not able to catch it again. You can, however, farm the raid for the items listed above if you so choose. This can be done by changing your system clock or by helping other online players.

That’s all you need to know to complete the Pikachu Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. This raid is fairly tough and does require you to put come effort into completing.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
